Educating, Inspiring, and Motivating Christian Women

Happy New Year, 2026!

If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

A Blessed New Year to All!

One of my New Year’s resolutions is to honor all people without prejudice. I have wonderful friends who are different from me in many ways. It makes my life richer.  Writing the stories of courageous women who fought many obstacles to gain a better life has helped me to grow spiritually. I look forward to meeting many new people and learning many new stories.

We are in the middle of a series on Native American Women. I think this journey will take us through most of this year. I hope you are enjoying the stories. I find them to be inspirational and encouraging.

In this series I am seeking to demonstrate that Native American women are as capable as white men and women in all areas of life including Spiritual, Social and Intellectual. For centuries indigenous women have been seen as inferior. It is time to set the record straight.

So far we have looked at the incredible stories of indigenous women in education, medicine, writing, storytelling, poetry, science, mathematics, exploration, art, leadership, and participating in tribal conflicts as warriors. We look forward to relating the history of indigenous women in entertainment, activism, sports, aviation, business, law, special achievements, firefighting, and the military.

During the year I would like to address the issue of social justice by continuing the stories of some very awe-inspiring Native American women. I hope to demonstrate that many Native American women are faithful, creative, intelligent, successful, and steadfast followers of Christ. We have all heard the stories of the treatment of the indigenous peoples in the United States. What might surprise some is to find out that many of the “Indians” decided to adopt the white man’s ways including Christianity. Some wanted to get an education and make their lives better. Yes, there were many natives who wanted to keep their old ways, but there were also many who wanted to adapt and live in peace with their new white neighbors.

As we think of the New Year and new beginnings let us remember our Native American sisters who often started a new life as they seek to honor their culture but take advantage of the European culture around them. Our unity as human beings is visible in our natures. Our diversity is what makes life interesting.

God bless you in this New Year!

I also felt it was a wonderful opportunity to give a voice not only to myself but the many other Native artists in the world.
